Forest Bathing
Forest bathing (also known as Shinrin-yoku) is a mindful, therapeutic practice of spending time in nature, in a forest setting. Rather than focusing on hiking or physical exercise, forest bathing encourages you to slow down, walk gently, breathe deeply, and engage your senses – sight, sound, smell, touch, and even taste. This simple yet powerful experience helps reduce stress, boost mood, and improve overall health by fostering a deeper connection with the natural environment.
