Seasonal Menus, Winter Activities and a New JPL Winter Lager

JASPER, AB – With the change in seasons and a new executive chef in house, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (JPL) is gearing up for the grandest of festive seasons. From new menus and tasty libations, to wintry outdoor explorations and holiday dining, Canada’s Luxury Cabin Collection has guests covered for a most memorable getaway in the Canadian Rockies.

Grandest of Flavours

The culinary team has launched new winter menus in The Great Hall and Orso Trattoria, and guests are invited for casual bites that include locally inspired cuisine such as Elk Hunter’s Pie paired with a Mulled Marg, or an Open Fire S’mores Cake and a Toasted Apple Pie cocktail for a sweet moment. Chef Andrew is excited to create the Orso Winter menu in the coming weeks, which is set to provide elevated Albertan dishes.

Favourite winter pop-ups such as The Nook Chalet, offering après ski fondue, and La Cabane on Ice will be returning this season to keep guests and visitors cozy after a day of skiing and skating. Don’t forget to bring along four-legged family members to enjoy JPL’s own Pet Menu during the festive season!

The JPL team has collaborated with Folding Mountain Brewery – located just outside of the Jasper National Park gates – on the launch of the new JPL Premium Dark Lager. Brewed slowly during the winter months, this smooth dark beer, along with the JPL Premium Summer Lager, is available exclusively at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, either on tap in the Emerald Lounge or for take-away purchases at Fitzhugh’s Fine Foods.

From Awe to Spa

Spanning 700-acres, JPL is a perfect wonderland to explore. The Winter Activity Centre is now open and ready to assist guests heading out for exciting winter pursuits. Rentals include winter (daily/hourly), cross-country skis, ice skates, snowshoes and toboggans. Fat-tire bikes and ice cleats are also in stock for those ready to elevate their adventure in the heart of Jasper National Park.

The Fairmont Spa Jasper Park Lodge is excited to introduce two new treatments starting this December. The Mountain Stone Massage utilizes stimulating grapefruit oil and black pepper combined with warm stones to create a deep-heated massage and a unique aroma that melts away stress. Sacred Moments is perfect couple’s treatment and features a mineral body scrub, invigorating steam session and pampering bath, followed by side-by-side therapeutic essential oil massages to complete the experience.

Grandest of Seasons

Festival of Christmas is a grand time to spend family and friends in the land of a million Christmas trees and twinkling stars. Starting from $459 CAD per night, guests can visit Santa’s Cabin and enjoy a number of festive experiences, including special holiday dining offerings. During this holiday season, guests can request a decorated tree to be set up in their cabin, visit the gingerbread village and take a holiday family photo to commemorate the perfect holiday getaway. The Festival of Christmas rate is available for stays between December 22, 2022 – January 1, 2023, inclusively.

Alberta residents can enjoy savings up to 30% off when booking stays during the holiday season. The Alberta Resident Rate will be in effect through to January 31, 2023.
